QCTO accreditation checklist

Practical planning checklist grounded in QCTO published guidance (Road to Success, Accreditation Policy, SDP/AC criteria). Confirm current forms, fees, and criteria on qcto.org.za before you apply — this is not a substitute for official QCTO requirements.

1. Choose your pathway

QCTO accreditation is not one stamp. Start with the track that matches what you are applying for.

SDP — Occupational qualifications & part qualifications Accreditation to deliver knowledge, practical, and workplace components of registered occupational qualifications or part qualifications on the OQSF — then prepare learners for EISA at an accredited Assessment Centre. SDP — Occupational skills programmes Accreditation to offer QCTO occupational skills programmes. There is no separate Assessment Centre track for skills programmes — exit assessment is a Final Integrated Supervised Assessment (FISA), not EISA. SDP — NATED N4–N6 (Report 191) Accreditation to deliver N4–N6 Programmes (NATED Report 191) under the QCTO. Uses a separate online application form from occupational qualifications, with its own desktop-evaluation fee notice. Assessment Centre (EISA hosting) Accreditation to conduct the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) for specified occupational qualifications or trades. Applications are processed with the relevant Assessment Quality Partner (AQP) before QCTO issues an outcome.
